Monterosso, Cinque Terre
Last week our friend Shirley visited for several days. We took a side trip by train to Monterosso al Mare, part of Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre are five self-contained, rugged, picturesque villages on the Italian Riviera, linked only by an ancient footpath known as the Sentiero Azzurro (blue path). We thoroughly enjoyed spectacular views of this rocky coastline!

Imagine that last winter Monterosso was partly destroyed by a terrible storm: water and mud came from the mountains....And now it's again a beautiful village!! Ciao, Cristina
